2015

This image is one of my favorites from the past year because it shows that the United States is a place for equality and that equality extends to people of all lifestyles. It also shows that the United States Government is not based on any religious beliefs, but on worldly beliefs.

This image is one of my favorites from the past year because it shows the huge differences between the two locations and it looks really cool with the amount of light from the fireworks and the illumination of the storm clouds.

I particularly like this image because it represents advancement in science and it shows that there is still water on Mars that runs occasionally. In addition, this image also shows that humanity is one step closer to living on Mars.

Best Song of 2015
One of my favorite songs of the last year was Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran because the lyrics convey a sense of love and happiness. I also like this song because of the way its sung, the words can be understood and the way that the music flows leaves my happy. In addition, I the song wasn't overplayed, from what I heard, so I never got sick of it.

Best Movie of 2015
One of my favorite movies of the last year was Avengers: Age of Ultron because I really like action movies and I love Marvel movies. In addition, the movie added another women to the team and the movie had excellent character development with most of it's characters. There was action as well as comedy and romance, some of my favorite genres.

Most Important News Story of 2015
The most important news story of the last year was the European Refugee Crisis, because the media coverage inspired others to help with the crisis and show that our problems are not as bad as we think. In addition the coverage impacted many lives though the inspiration it instilled in the hearts of many.

Most Important Person of 2015
The person of the year should be Caitlyn Jenner because her coming out as a transgender inspired many others to do the same and sparked the debate about equal rights for the LGBT+ community. In addition, she social/economic status has shed light on the LGBT+ community though the media, causing the debate to come to the surface, instead of at the bottom of the stack, where many people want it to stay.

Over the holiday, I was given a bookcase for Christmas, so I spent a couple days setting it up in my room and transferring my books from all over the house to their new spot. I also received many new books and book recommendations to read.
My resolutions for this year are to stay on top of my homework and to get more sleep as well as read more books.
The things I am most looking forward to this year are getting my Driving License and reading Dante's Inferno in English.
